The event at Mather Airport isn't until October, but an appearance Tuesday by the U.S. Navy Blue Angels kicked off its planning phase. Two Blue Angels visited the airport in an F/A-18 Hornet to meet with the organizers of the airshow and conduct a site survey. See photos from that visit with the accompanying slideshow.
